Sharron Angle Tells Harry Reid to 'Man Up', Emasculation Politics

ABC News: "The sound bite of Angle challenging Reid's manhood was the defining moment of an otherwise unremarkable debate where both candidates repeatedly stumbled over their words.
Many Republicans have declared this the year of the Republican woman, and a number of Republican women have suggested that their opposition would be better at politics if they acted more like men."

Tea Party-Loving Republican Senate Candidates Propelled by Cash from Ideological Groups, Small Donors

OpenSecrets: "An analysis by the Center for Responsive Politics shows that some of the highest-profile Tea Party-supported candidates have collected significant sums of money from individuals contributing $200 or less, the Federal Election Commission’s threshold for itemized disclosure in campaign finance reports. These donors rarely account for more than 20 percent of a Senate candidate’s total fund-raising sums.
Sharron Angle, who emerged after a contentious primary as the Republican nominee against Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), has raised more than $2.05 million through June 30 from individuals giving $200 or less. At that time -- the date of most recent campaign finance reports -- these funds accounted for 58 percent of her war chest."

In midterm elections, Washington lobbying becomes a line of attack for both parties

Washington Post: "From California to Indiana to Florida, candidates are seizing on ties between their opponents and the lobbying profession as an alleged sign of loyalty to special interests. Campaign contributions from K Street lobbyists have also flared as an issue in many campaigns, including the widely watched contest between tea party favorite Sharron Angle (R) and Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.).
Although the lobbying industry has never been beloved by the public, its image has declined dramatically over the past decade even as its influence continued to expand. The Jack Abramoff scandal was arguably a turning point, sending politicians to jail and saddling the industry with the stench of criminality."

CNN Poll shows Angle ahead in Nevada -- not hurt by Tea Party candidate on ballot

Sharron Angle, Republican, 42%; Harry Reid, Democrat, 40%; Scott Ashjian, 7%; None of the Above or Other, 10%. If Angle and Reid are the only two names on the ballot:  Sharron Angle 47%; Harry Reid 45%; would refuse to vote for either 8%.

Reid, Angle Stay Tied In Nevada Senate Race Despite Barrage Of Attack Ads

Reid Angle

Huffington Post: "A barrage of attack ads from both sides has done zilch to yield a front-runner in Nevada's heated Senate race, according to a new poll that shows voters remain evenly split between Democratic Majority Leader Harry Reid and Republican challenger Sharron Angle."
