Ohio Secretary of State candidates agree "Golden Week" must go
toledoblade.com: All three candidates for secretary of state Tuesday agreed in their sole public debate that the so-called "golden week" in which would-be voters can simultaneously register and cast ballots has to go.
They called for beefing up scrutiny of Ohio voter registration lists, increasing public access to financial reports for candidates and ballot issues, and keeping partisanship out of next year's process of redrawing legislative districts.
