Face The Nation - CBS News: "On CBS' "Face the Nation" Sunday Republican strategist Ed Gillespie said that if the GOP takes control of the House, they are going to "try to put the brakes on all this reckless spending."
Among the costs he cited: a recent report of payments under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act going to nearly 72,000 dead people; and the increase in public debt under President Obama compared to the two terms of President George W. Bush.
Gillespie said that "eighteen billion dollars of stimulus money went to seventy-two thousand dead people."
The actual figure was $18 million."
