Romney Gives National Security Speech: "The Care of Freedom" Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney delivered an address on American defense priorities at the U.S. Navy Memorial in Washington D.C. It was sponsored by The Heritage Foundation as part of its "Protect America Month." Romney: "Arrogant, delusional tyrants can not be stopped by earnest words and furrowed brows. High Profile PAC Endorsements: McDonnell for VA Governor, Bolling for VA Lt. Governor and Christie for NJ Governor Last week, the PAC endorsed Bob McDonnell for VA Governor, Bill Bolling for VA Lt. Governor and Chris Christie for NJ Governor. Governor Romney traveled to appear at press events with the candidates in their home states and presented their campaign committees with a donation. Romney on Chris Christie: "The challenges facing New Jersey and the rest of the country can be overcome with courageous leadership. Chris Christie is a strong conservative voice for balanced budgets, low taxes and more jobs. He will bring badly-needed change to state government." Romney on Bob McDonnell and Bill Bolling: "Bob McDonnell and Bill Bolling will create an environment that allows businesses to expand, add jobs and put people to work." |

Romney Well-Received at the 2009 NRA Convention Governor Romney addressed a packed room at the NRA's annual convention in Phoenix, AZ in May. He was introduced by NRA's Chris Cox and then remarked on promoting personal freedom and the Second Amendment, and offered a strong critique of President Obama's economic and national security policies. Romney: "Ronald Reagan said that "freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction." That is why we and the NRA meet here today: we are committed to fight for freedom, defend the Constitution, and pass on to our children a legacy of liberty."
